MESA COUNTY JAIL MINISTRY
New Board President
Erik Borrell was voted into the position of Board President
The MCJM board is pleased to announce the election of a new board president Mr. Erik Borrell. Many of your will remember Erik from his speaking at our banquet a few years back. Erik has been involved with the jail ministry now for several years and has served as an active board member for most of that time.
Erik took over as board President after the resignation of our first Board President Paul Von Guerrerd resigned, Paul is still working in the jail ministry inside the jail giving reading glasses to the inmates that need glasses and do not have the funding to purchase these. Paul served on the board. Paul helped to get the jail ministry off the ground and up and running as a non profit organization. His leadership and direction will be missed.
Erik will be serving as the jail ministry board president and will help to lead us into the future for the next 4-6 years. We are looking forward to what God has planned for the ministry in the future.
The mission of the Mesa County Jail Ministry is to bring the grace and healing power of Jesus Christ to broken relationships with God, with family, and with community.
Future plans include development of a ministry to transition inmates into the Christian Community. The Transition Ministry includes temporary housing and coordination of inmate transition into the local Body of Christ.
